|Hello everyone, |
Spring is here in Ponte de Lima. In the gardens, red and pink camellias are in full bloom along with with mostly purple magnolias though here and there a white one stands out as different. Primroses and violets are blossoming in the hedgerows and buds are swelling on the trees. There is still a little snow on the very tops of the Peneda Gerês mountains but lower down it's pleasantly warm in the day though still quite cold at night.
We returned from Britain by ferry this time, coming in through Portugal's backdoor. Rather than taking the motorway through Monção or Valença we crossed the border with Spain near the little village of Lindoso. We stopped off in Lindoso because I remember it with great affection from 25 years ago when I first visited. I seem fated never quite to carry out my plans there as you may read, but I always find it interesting. I hope you will too:
Lindoso and an entrepreneur of yesteryear
If you enjoy anything you read on my blog and can face making the effort, please consider writing a short review for me on Expats Blog. All you need to do is go to the bottom of the page, click on the Featured Blog icon. If you write me a review – preferably complimentary - I may rise up the rankings a little and perhaps other people will be inspired to visit Me 'n' You in Portugal.
After a long, long time there is good news about our house. I'll write about that shortly. Till then, I hope you enjoy Portugal by living there, visiting or reading about it.
